Mission Statement:

Collect, restore and recognize the Humanities through geographical and theological contextual criticism.

Humanus Institute was born from the idea of learning through adventure. When we explore the great world around us, we are often met with language barriers, cultural differences, and most often, the lack of local knowledge. When we walk through a beautiful structure, or gaze across a majestic landscape, much of the meaning behind these geographical locations are unknown to us.

Humanus Institute seeks to provide stories for those curious intellectuals who want to know more; more about the world around them; more about the places they travel to; more about the people who were there 1, 10, 100 or 1,000 years before them.

Colligere

(Latin) - "to gather together"

We are a developing multimedia encyclopedia of images, videos, illustrations, publications, and audio recordings relating to art history, architecture, cultural traditions, geography, and theology.

Restaurare

(Latin) - "to restore, rebuild, reestablish, renew"

Our purpose is to raise awareness and respect for artists and thinkers, dead and alive, who paved the path of creativity from mere cave scrawlings to majestic cathedrals.

Recognoscere

(Latin) - "to recognize, recollect"

Humanities is a timeline of mankind's creativity, originating to the God who created each one of us. Physical and metaphysical, perfect and imperfect, all our creative endeavors tell a complex, yet intricate story of who we are, and our desire to seek meaning and create value on this wonderful Earth.
